Inspired by a contemporary Japanese legend, the Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur puts on an impressive show combining the illusion created by giant characters and the perfect mastery of state-of-the-art multimedia technologies to remind us, in a grandiose, poetic way, that life on our planet is fragile.

The Earth is increasingly threatened. Doctor Shin and his assistant Aki belong to a group of about 50 child doctors who circle the planet to heal animals and plants. Alerted by the Owl to new catastrophes, Shin immediately flies away on the back of his pelican named Ko.

He heals fireflies rescued from a burnt mountain; he gives antidotes to baby belugas contaminated by chemical pollutants; he confronts real estate developers and leaders of a country facing rapid desertification. Feeling helpless and enraged by the negligence of certain human beings, he decides to hurry back home. He takes a dangerous road and finds himself in a war zone. In a hail of bombs and machine-gun fire, the pelican dies. Dismayed, Shin reacts angrily and decides to stop healing people. Seeing Shin in despair, his assistant Aki makes an appeal to all those he healed and to the four elements – water, fire, earth and air – so that they come to express their high regard for him and to help him regain his hope and confidence. Moved by these expressions of gratitude, Shin decides to start healing again and realizes that only through small actions taken to save the planet will harmony be achieved.
