Proud of its 32-year history, the Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur presents CIMBAD (Centre d’Interprétation des Marionnettes Baroques Desjardins), established with support from two levels of government and numerous community partners, such as the Caisses Populaires Desjardins. CIMBAD, designed to introduce the world of oversized puppets to people, emphasizes hands-on learning. The Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur produces puppet material specifically tailored to each client, enabling participants to create their own giant characters and to stage them in a professional setting. Twelve months a year, CIMBAD offers highly entertaining activities served with a dash of humour and extravagance. Group manipulation of oversized puppets fosters teamwork in the young and not-so-young alike, and helps build creativity, critical thinking, self-esteem and communication skills.
