The Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur of Upton made its official debut in Singapore on October 12 when its artists and artisans took part in the official opening ceremony of the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, in Singapore Bay.

The Quebec troupe, known for its creation and manipulation of giant puppets that have brought it fame across the country, worked in unison with artists from three continents in an exotic performance on and above Singapore Bay.

In addition to the Dame de Coeur members, the event brought together Legs on the Wall, an Australian troupe, and Groupe F, the group that was behind the spectacular fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on January 1, 2000.

The whole show was designed to combine the strengths and characteristics of all the artists to form an elegant and tightly choreographed ballet.

Supply canoes floated on the sparkling waters of Marina Bay, carrying magnificent flowers and giant birds as well as other eccentric creations, the hallmark of the Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur.

The Legs on the Wall troupe added its touch by using the Maybank Tower facade for its aerial acts, while Groupe F illuminated the scene with spectacular fireworks.
This international acclaim is yet another testimony to the innovative and creative genius that characterizes the Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur.
