Our mission
Through a great deal of imagination and concerted effort, our creative and production teams have continued to dazzle audiences. The house specialty is large-scale spectacles that produce the ultimate goal of finding our own inner sense of immensity. Based on multidisciplinary techniques, our strategic vision consists of creating powerful images that inspire all our partners to push beyond their limits.
The joy of creating significant and outstanding work, with professionals and dedicated members of the community: that is our mission!
Our partners
The main financial partners of the TDC are the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, Canadian Heritage, the Mouvement Desjardins, the Société d’Aide au Développement des Collectivités, the Conseil Régional des Élus de la Montérégie Est, Emploi-Québec, the Municipalité Régionale de Comté, the Conseil Local de Développement d’Acton and the municipality of Upton. The TDC has about 50 employees.
La formation
Professional puppeteers who would like to work at the TDC are required to take a training course in order to be introduced to our in-house techniques.
A program was set up by sports medicine specialists to help our puppeteers perform at a high level, both physically and artistically, and to meet the physical demands of dealing with oversized elements.
The TDC has also developed a specialized training course for the organization of large community events involving volunteers. This training applies educational entertainment techniques that triple the performance of extras in large-scale productions.
Sylvain Gagnon manages the professional training program and supervises the activities offered to schools at our multidisciplinary centre.
